Down South Lures Southern Shad
This new soft plastic lure by Down South Lures is hitting the ground running. Michael Bosse has been working on perfecting his bait
for over two years now and is ready to show the salwater world his secret weapon. Down South Lures is starting with 6 colors you should
recognize but don't just look there, he's done something unique to give this bait a lot of action and the ability to be seen in murky waters.
Down South Lures is not stopping here as they are already working a few modifications to give us a variety of these plastics as well as a slew
of other colors.
Angler Outfitters just got this new bait in last month to start testing and already has a few reports coming in. We are jumping the gun here but
didn't want to be selfish and keep this to ourselves much longer. We have sent this out to guides and avid anglers from Texas to Florida and
will be updating this article as more reports come in.
Bait Action
The first thing you will notice about this bait is the plastic. Down South holds nothing back in using the best mix to create a very soft plastic
which allows the bait to move naturally in the water. Seondly, the tail of the Southern Shad is skinny. Instead of only having tail action, this bait
has movement down the last 3" of it's entire length. As it flutters and twitches the paddle tail with the thin lower body moves this bait like crazy and
naturally at the same time. For a straight retrieve this bait swims true. The last, but certainly not least is the unique use of opaque colors which helps fish site see and run this thing down in
murky or browner waters.

Color Selection and Pricing
The bait is available in 6 different colors for now. More colors are coming soon and if you would like to see any particular color feel free to let
us or Michael know. They are priced around $3.99 - $4.99 and come 8 per package - most other soft plastic makers are at the same price but only
provide 6 in a package.

Final Results
To date the Pumkinseed and Midnight Money are the favorites among everyone who has had a chance to try the lure.
